We are committed to offering a range of study options to allow students to broaden their knowledge and pursue their interests.
As Rivergum Christian College grows and develops its Middle School, we have been working hard with staff, students and relevant authorities to enable us to offer a dynamic Christian education to students in the Riverland.
This above handbook is designed to detail the subject offerings for our Middle School (Years 7-10) in 2019, along with their possible timetables. We are glad to be able to offer these pathways for our students and will continue to involve and gain feedback from the school community to ensure we develop a great range of high quality topics for our students to absorb.
We have a mixture of on-site, off site, specialist instructor and facilitated subjects for students which allows us to resource a wide range of interest areas and curriculum requirements. As we grow, we will continue to implement new study pathways and provide access to learning areas that build on each students’ strengths with the aim of future employment or further study.
Those students who begin at Rivergum in Year 7 have an advantage in studying subjects a year in advance of their primary school counterparts, who would otherwise begin in Year 8 at public high schools.
Year 10 students will be able to begin their SACE journey by beginning their Personal Learning Plan (PLP) in 2019.
